About Broker Review Desk
Broker Review Desk publishes independent, editorially-driven reviews of CFD and forex brokers. Our aim is simple: give traders a clear, honest read on a broker's real strengths and trade-offs — not a sales pitch dressed up as a review.
What we do
We review brokers the way an experienced trader actually evaluates one: by looking past the marketing at the things that decide whether a broker is worth your money. That means pricing you can verify, platform quality, funding and withdrawal reliability, support, and — crucially — the broker's regulatory standing and track record.
How we review brokers
Every review on this site follows the same framework. We assess each broker across the categories that matter most to active traders, weighting them by real-world impact:
- Trading costs — spreads, commissions and the real all-in cost of trading, modelled across account types and instruments.
- Funding & withdrawals — how a broker handles deposits and, more importantly, cash-outs. This is historically the biggest source of trader complaints, so we weight it heavily.
- Platform & execution — the trading environment, platform choice, and the quality of the day-to-day experience.
- Account experience — how clear and usable the account structure and client area are.
- Trust & regulation — the broker's regulatory footprint, operating history and public track record, assessed separately and never glossed over.
Our ratings are editorial. They reflect our assessment of publicly available pricing and platform data, the broker's stated policies, and direct comparison against peer brokers. They are never paid placements.
We may earn a commission when a reader opens an account with a broker through a link on this site. This is how independent review sites fund their work — but it does not influence our ratings or what we write. A broker cannot pay for a higher score, a more favourable review, or to have criticism removed. Where a broker has weaknesses — limited regulation, a short track record, a narrow product range — we say so plainly, because a review that hides the downsides isn't worth reading.
On newer and offshore-regulated brokers
A lot of the brokers we cover are newer or hold offshore regulatory licences. We don't treat that as an automatic disqualifier — many capable brokers start there — but we are consistent about flagging it, and we always recommend the same prudent approach: verify a broker's current registration in your own jurisdiction, start with a small deposit, and test a withdrawal cycle before committing serious capital.
A note on risk
CFDs are complex, leveraged products that carry a high risk of losing money rapidly. Nothing on this site is personal financial advice. Our reviews are general information to help you make your own informed decision — the responsibility for that decision, and for understanding the risks, stays with you.
